A fire well must function at the right moment, even if it is rarely used. This places demands on filter selection, diameter, finishing, and protection of the well. Municipalities and fire departments operate within the framework of NEN 1594. The well must deliver the required water yield and be easily accessible for fire engines.

A reliable and well-designed fire well is the foundation for effective firefighting. VRM supplies well filters up to 400 mm in diameter, well heads, and collision protection for municipal sites, industrial locations, and business parks.
The same filters are used as in well pointing and water extraction. The choice of diameter and material depends on the required yield and soil composition. VRM provides customized advice.
For larger fire wells with high yields, filters from 250 mm to 400 mm are used. PVC is the standard. HDPE is used for specific soil conditions or chemical loads. Custom lengths and perforations from our own production.
