Those who wish to reliably measure groundwater levels or groundwater quality require materials that do not affect the sample and align with current protocols. VRM supplies KIWA-certified monitoring wells, filters, filter gravel, finishing materials, and measuring equipment for environmental research and continuous monitoring.

Groundwater monitoring forms the basis of soil research. The results determine whether a location is contaminated and to what extent. This requires material that does not affect the sample and installation in accordance with BRL SIKB 2000 Protocol 2001 and 2002. VRM products meet these protocol requirements and are KIWA BRL-K561 certified.

Material choice for PFAS research

For PFAS monitoring, additional material guidelines apply based on the PFAS Sampling Handbook (IPLO/VVMA/VKB):

One-off exploratory research (NEN 5740): standard PVC monitoring wells are approved, provided they use screw connections without glue
Long-term monitoring or deep drilling: HDPE virgin pipes are used to prevent sorption over longer periods
Pump hoses: exclusively HDPE or silicone. LDPE and PTFE (Teflon) are not permitted
